Jr. Chamber Makerspace Open Lab Empowers Students to Build, Create, and Innovate
Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Today

The Valley Crossroads Chamber of Commerce is excited to launch Jr. Chamber Makerspace Open Lab Hours, a hands-on opportunity for junior high and high school students to explore technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
Beginning March 18, students ages 14–18 are invited to visit the Jr. Chamber Makerspace in Eagle Mountain to experiment with tools, collaborate with peers, and turn creative ideas into real projects.
A Space for Innovation and Exploration
The Jr. Chamber Makerspace is designed to give students access to tools and resources that help spark creativity and build valuable skills for the future.
During Open Lab hours, students can:
- Try out makerspace machines and tools
- Experiment with 3D printing and design software
- Record audio or content in the podcast studio
- Work on creative projects or business ideas
- Connect with other students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship
The program focuses on hands-on learning and encourages students to explore their interests in technology, media, and business development.
Learning from Local Business Leaders
In addition to lab time, students participating in the Jr. Chamber program will have opportunities to hear from local business leaders and entrepreneurs.
These guest speakers share their personal journeys, lessons learned, and advice for young innovators who are interested in leadership and starting their own ventures.
By connecting students with real-world professionals, the Chamber helps bridge the gap between education, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

Students can attend Open Lab sessions on the following schedule:
Starting March 18
📅 1st and 3rd Wednesdays through May 6
